How does Distro work?

Distro matches technical professionals with hiring companies seeking full-time team members.

Companies post jobs on Distro, and candidates create profiles on the platform. Using AI, Distro identifies and matches the best candidates with the right companies. After companies complete their selection process, offers are made to candidates, who then have the opportunity to accept the position.

How can Distro help you?

  • Work Directly with Distro Customers: Once selected by a company, you will be hired directly by the company, ensuring clarity and direct communication regarding your work.
  • Long-term Opportunities: Distro is intended for long-term, full-time work. There are some exceptions for fixed part-time engagement
  • Support and Guidance: Distro account managers will support you throughout the entire process of getting interviewed and hired.

Do I need to create a profile to be hired?

In order to get matched to the best companies Distro needs to know more about you

  • Visibility to Employers: Your profile makes it easy for you to be found and reviewed by matched Companies
  • Showcase Your Skills: Your profile enables your skills to be easily visible to those hiring for your technical abilities.
  • Career Opportunities: Distro connects you with many potential matches and gives you a greater opportunity to find the best fit

How do I get hired at Distro?

Our process is designed to match you with the best job opportunities:

  • Profile Creation: You should create your profile and record a video introduction. 
  • Matching with Companies: Based on your skills and expertise, you may be matched to various companies hiring for your skills
  • Interview with Distro Account Manager: Once you have completed your profile and are matched to a company hiring for your skills, then you will be invited to interview with a distro account manager.
  • Direct Interviews with Distro Customers: After that interview, you will then be able to be interviewed directly with Distro Customers. Depending on your interview performance you may receive an offer with a potential start date and job expectations.

Who will I receive payments from?

Once you have accepted an offer and been hired in the Distro platform you’ll automatically be enrolled into Distro’s automated payroll and receive your payment at the beginning of each month.

What are the benefits of working directly with a Distro customer?

A direct contract with the company often provides better job security, more personalized benefits, and direct communication with the employer regarding job expectations and conditions.

How does Distro support me after I’m hired?

After you’re hired, Distro continues to offer support by providing access to resources, opportunities for further professional development, and a platform for feedback to improve your experience.

What happens when my contract gets terminated?

Depending on the circumstances, you may have another opportunity through Distro. Additionally, depending on the cause of your termination, some customers may authorize severance pay.

How do I contact Distro support if I have an issue?

What payment methods are available for receiving my payments?

Distro supports several payment methods, including Payoneer, Wise, Stripe, and direct bank deposit. You can choose the method that best suits your needs when setting up your payment information in Distro.

How can I give feedback about my experience with Distro?

Feedback can be provided through the platform’s help center. Distro values user feedback to improve its services.

How quickly can I fill a role?

On average, Distro has candidates ready to interview within 1 to 3 business days.

How does the initial interview process with candidates work?

Once qualified candidates pass AI vetting and verification in Distro, they will get matched with your job and scheduled for an initial interview. From there, you will conduct your preferred interview process with an account manager present to take notes and help answer questions as needed.

Can I request specific skills or qualifications from candidates?

Yes, you can be as specific as you’d like with requirements when creating the job description and publishing the job.

How much does Distro cost?

Setting up an account in Distro is free. Once you post a job, it will prompt you to set a monthly budget for your role. You will only receive matches within your budget. Distro simply takes a percentage of the payroll amount depending on the country. This fee is already calculated into the cost of each matched candidate.

How do I review candidate profiles and applications?

You can view your matches in your Distro application. Each time you receive a match, you’ll get a notification. You can review them, update their status, and add comments or notes, just like using your own applicant tracking system.

How do I pay my hired candidates?

Once your offer has been accepted by a candidate, the Distro platform will automatically calculate how much they will receive when they will receive it, and in what payment method. Regardless of whether you hire in one country or many countries, Distro will automate your payments for you.
